Pls note that all the pieces sold here are handcrafted and hence, delicate. Some tips on taking care of them to ensure they last: 1) Those pieces with crystals and semi-precious stones are fragile and might chip or break if you drop them or hit them against hard surfaces. Hence do take care! 2) The jewellery can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Unless necessary, there is no need to wash them. However, if that is required, they should be washed with water and wiped DRY with a cloth. Although the metal parts of the pieces are tarnish-resistant, it's still better to keep them dry. 3) Perfume, hair spray or any other chemicals will damage the jewellery. So do take care to protect your jewellery when using these products. 4) For pieces with coral, DO NOT ever use detergent on them. Coral were previously living things and detergent will destroy them. 4) For pieces with freshwater pearls, the pearls will become shinier with wear as they absorb the oil from our bodies to increase their lustre. 5) The lighter-coloured jade pieces may turn darker with time as they are quite decent quality jade pieces. According to the Chinese, jade pieces will help to ward off evil or mishaps and hence, the colour of the jade pieces will change with its owner (i.e. become greener) over time. 6) Should any of the pieces be spoilt due to wear & tear, do not throw them away! We can attempt to repair them for a small fee if the damage is reversible.
7) For best maintenance of your jewellery, keep them in small ziplock bags after wearing. Try not to mix different pieces together as metals tarnish faster when mixed. In general, the gold pieces (unless goldplated or gold-filled) may tarnish faster than the silver ones.
